AgentPostDW Version 1.0.15 By Walkin' Dude
-----------------------------------------------
** VERY IMPORTANT. PLEASE READ! **

This is the *VERY* EXPERIMENTAL version of AgentPost. It can queue
100 files in a matter of seconds... So, what is the catch? Well, it
writes directly to outbox.dat and outbox.idx. The format of these
two files is proprietary and undocumented. With much hacking, I
believe I have learned enough about it so that this can and will
work. I have tested it on my system without any problems (well, this
version anyway <g>). Now, I need the help of some others to test it
on their systems too.

If you are not an advanced user or crazy, you probably don't want to
mess with this. It is possible that it can screw up your outbox.*
files (but nothing else). If you are willing to try it, I would very
much appreciate your feedback. I have spent a lot of time on this
thing. Also, please don't distribute this anywhere! I don't need 50
lamers screaming to me that it screwed up their outbox if something
goes wrong. You get the idea I think. Now, if you have read my
warnings and still want to continue, you need to know the
caveats/limitations and the password to extract.

LIMITATIONS:
1) The outbox window and any Post windows of the copy of Agent you
are posting to MUST be closed. AP will warn you if they aren't.

2) It will not work with outbox.dat's over a certain size--around 2
megs. It should warn you if this limit is reached.

3) The little list box beside the newsgroup list box will not be
there in the final release. Right now, it is there to show how many
pages each post took up. If any of these numbers is >1, the chance
of something getting screwed up increases. It shouldn't screw up
though and if it doesn't that means I did it right. <g>

4) After it is finished posting, "Online|Post Usenet and Email
Messages" will still be greyed out if the files AP added are the only
ones queued in the outbox. This is a limitation of Agent. As far as
it knows, there are no new posts queued. Therefore, you must open
the outbox, open one of the queued messages and hit "Send later" to
enable the menu. I like this because it MAKES you look at the outbox
before posting. If anything went wrong, looking at the outbox, the
first post queued, and the last post queued should show it. Please
do this before making test posts. If something went wrong, there
should be a backup of outbox.dat and outbox.idx from before you
started the last session of AP. They are named outdat_a.bak and
outidx_a.bak respectively.

5) Group properties from the first group in the Newsgroups: field
will be used except for byte count. You must set this in AP's
options. It works the same as in Agent.

6) Now generates a Message-ID if you set GenerateId=1 in
AgentPst.ini. This is for advanced users only. One catch is
that if you send multipart messages only the first part i.e.
the 0/ or 1/ part will use the news server in AgentPst.ini.
The rest will use the standard Agent method of generating
Message-ID's (including any "modifications you've made...).
This seems to be a limitation of Agent that maybe difficult
if not impossible to overcome.

Now, hopefully you know what you are getting into and are ready to
extract. The password is "wdthanksyou" without the quotes of course.
